Wagering Requirements Calculator
Bonus calculator: turn any casino offer into its true expected value
A €100 bonus with a 30x wagering requirement sounds like a gift. In reality you often need to wager €3,000 — and a lot more depending on the game. This wagering requirements calculator surfaces the real turnover, game contribution and expected loss while clearing.
Bonus Wagering Calculator
Casino bonuses sound big, but the wagering requirements decide whether you can realistically clear them. Enter your bonus, the wagering multiplier (e.g. 30x) and the game you play — the calculator shows how much you really need to wager and how much you lose on average while doing it.
You need to wager about €3,000 in Slots before the bonus becomes withdrawable.
Bonus amount minus the expected loss while clearing.
Note: contribution rates (slots 100%, roulette 10%, sports 0–10%) and house edges are industry averages. Your operator's terms override these defaults.
How to use this wagering requirements calculator — step by step
Check the real bonus value in under a minute:
- 1Enter bonus & deposit
Enter the bonus amount, your deposit and whether the wagering requirement applies to bonus only or bonus + deposit.
- 2Add the wagering multiplier
Multiplier from the bonus terms (e.g. 30x, 40x). The calculator works out the required turnover automatically.
- 3Pick the game type
Slots, roulette, blackjack or sports — the calculator uses typical contribution rates (100 %, 10 %, 0 %).
- 4Read the results
Required turnover, expected loss while clearing and real bonus value in euros — with a flag for whether the bonus is mathematically +EV.
What is a wagering requirement?
The wagering requirement is a multiplier that tells you how many times the bonus (or deposit + bonus) must be wagered before winnings become withdrawable. 30x on a €100 bonus means €3,000 in turnover — not €3,000 lost, but €3,000 actually staked.
Why doesn't every game count 100%?
Operators weigh games differently: slots usually contribute 100 % to the wagering requirement, roulette and blackjack often only 10 %, sports betting is frequently excluded entirely. So €100 staked on a slot counts as €100 of wagering, the same €100 on roulette counts as €10 — you need ten times the volume to clear.
How does the calculator estimate the real bonus value?
Expected loss while clearing = required turnover × house edge ÷ contribution. Real bonus value = bonus − expected loss. Example: €100 bonus, 30x wagering, slot with 4 % edge → €3,000 turnover × 4 % = €120 expected loss → real value −€20.
When is a casino bonus mathematically valuable?
Only when the expected loss while clearing is smaller than the bonus amount. Low multipliers (≤ 25x), high game contribution (100 %) and low house edges (blackjack basic strategy, if allowed) are the key factors. High multipliers (40x+), low contribution and short deadlines are the most common traps.
What the numbers don't show
Max-bet caps (often €5), excluded games, time limits and max cashout rules can devalue a bonus further. Read the full bonus terms before accepting — and when in doubt, decline.
